Study Center of Oral Health Epidemiology

Field of Study

  1. Research concerning frequency, distribution, or determinants of oral health problems done directly to the community
  2. Research concerning the creation or validation of questionnaire instruments (quality of life, severity of disease or condition) in the field of dentistry that can be applied to the community
  3. Descriptive observational research using literature review in the form of scoping review, rapid review, systematic review, and meta analysis
  4. Health statistics as the base of epidemiology research analysis, both descriptive statistics as well as inferential statistics (parametric and non-parametric analysis, Rasch’s model, analysis factor, mediation-moderation).

In order to accomplish FKG Usakti’s vision, mission, and purpose, the Study Center of Oral Health Epidemiology does the following:

  1. Education regarding the various types of epidemiological research that can be carried out by students in producing a scientific paper (thesis) as one of the requirements for graduation from the Bachelor of Dentistry program
  2. Regular training on techniques for conducting reviews assisted by the Dental Education Unit of the Faculty of Dentistry
  3. Regular training on item analysis for lecturers to evaluate each question that will be tested on students
  4. Training on descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics in the health sector

Function

1.Education

Education regarding the various types of epidemiological research that can be carried out by students in producing a scientific paper (thesis) as one of the requirements for graduation from the Bachelor of Dentistry program

2.Research

Epidemiological research and statistical analysis in dentistry training for students and lecturers

3.Community Service

Aside from research, community service is also carried out every year through field work and social service.
