The people of Santo Andreas Church Jakarta, especially the elderly, have a community called the Mutiara Senja community. This community has never received counseling and oral health checks. The lack of knowledge about diseases and maintenance of oral health is the background for the implementation of counseling and examination in this community. For this reason, a team of lecturers from FKG Trisakti University on May 17 provided counseling and oral health checks at Jl. Komp. Green Garden No.1 Blok J5, RT.1/RW.4, North Kedoya, Kec. KB. Jeruk, West Jakarta City.

The activity was attended by 20 people. The team consisted of 5 lecturers led by drg Marie Louisa, Sp.Perio with members drg. Rosalina Tjandrawinata, M.Si., Ph.D. drg. Carolina Damayanti Marpaung, Sp.Pros., Ph.D. drg. Marta Juslily, M.B.A., M.K.G. drg. Maria Leny Raiyon, Grad CertClintDent, MPhil., Sp.PM. and 3 (three) professional program students and 1 (one) MIKG study program student.

In addition to counseling, activities are combined with interactive media such as providing moving pictures, animations, or playing videos so that it is hoped that the delivery of information can be well received by the elderly.
Regular dental check-ups are an important step to maintain overall health in the elderly, ensuring they remain comfortable, healthy, and have a good quality of life. In this activity, it is hoped that the elderly community of mutiara senja – Santo Andreas Church Kedoya will gain knowledge to prevent and deal with oral health problems they experience so that they can improve their general health status.
