The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Trisakti, organized the Swearing-In Ceremony for New Dentists and Release of New Specialist Dentists in Conservative Dentistry for the Second Odd Semester of the Academic Year 2023/2024, held on February 26, 2024, at the Peninsula Hotel Tower, Jakarta.

The event began with a report from the Vice Dean I, Dr. drg. Yohana Yusra, M.Kes, who stated that today, the oath was taken by 49 new dentists and 11 new specialist dentists in Conservative Dentistry. The Best Graduate of New Dentists is drg. Chaterina Anjelia, SKG, with a GPA of 3.65 and a grade of Very Satisfactory, while the Best Graduate of New Specialist Dentists in Conservative Dentistry is drg. Faustine Katrini, Sp. KG, with a GPA of 3.84. The event continued with the Reading of the Dentist’s Oath by drg. Wiwiek Poedjiastoeti, M.Kes., Sp.BMM., PhD, the Dean of FKG Usakti, followed by the new dentists. Subsequently, the oath would be affirmed by religious leaders, including those from Islam, Protestant Christianity, Catholic Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism.

In her address, drg. Wiwiek Poedjiastoeti, M.Kes., Sp.BM., PhD, stated that the dental profession is a healthcare profession that will be with us for a lifetime and can be used to promote public awareness in maintaining dental health, especially in preventing caries and oral health as part of overall body health. New dentists have been equipped with various theories and skills during their time in college. Through the Internship program for the next 6 months, you will directly interact with the community in need of your services. Therefore, as graduates of Indonesian Dentists, you are expected to be professional individuals with at least two things: competence and professional ethics, thus there must be a strong ethical and moral foundation in carrying out your duties.

The event continued with the presentation of certificates of appreciation, sashes, and prizes to the best graduates of New Dentists and New Specialist Dentists in Conservative Dentistry. Then, sashes were given to the graduates of UKMP2DG with the highest CBT scores at FKG Usakti, namely drg. Devina Arista, SKG, with a score of 94.17, and drg. Febria, SKG. This was followed by the presentation of sashes to those with the highest scores in the Period III Specialist Dentistry Competency Exam in 2023 at FKG Usakti, namely drg. Reynaldo Lambertus, Sp.KG, drg. Miranti Putri Darmawanti, Sp.KG, and drg. Widya Wulandari, Sp.KG, MM. Finally, the event concluded with performances by the new dentists and congratulatory messages from the invited guests to the new dentists and new specialist dentists in Conservative Dentistry.
